Estefanía Luján Padilla

Estefanía Luján Padilla is senior program specialist at the Bridwell Institute for Economic Freedom.

Estefanía earned her B.A. in economics from Universidad Francisco Marroquín (UFM) in Guatemala and her M.S. in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University(TTU). Prior to joining SMU, she worked as a Research Associate at the TTU Free Market Institute, conducting her own research and managing the Institute’s research programming, and has over 10 years of experience in program management of university-based centers.

Estefanía teaches online classes (institutional and development economics) at UFM. She also serves the Southern Economic Association as Assistant Secretary/Treasurer (2023-) and the Public Choice Society as Executive Assistant (2024-).
