Are you an SMU student needing an academic boost? Did you drop a course last semester and want to ensure timely graduation? Look no further than Winter Forge!

 Winter Forge is an academic success support program at SMU, created to help you realign and rediscover your purpose during the Jan Term intersession. It offers a personalized support experience to help you rediscover your confidence and get back on track.

 By joining Winter Forge, you’ll become part of a community of like-minded students all striving for academic success. You’ll learn from each other’s experiences while receiving personalized guidance from experienced coaches. Together, you’ll develop the skills and strategies necessary to excel in your studies and achieve your academic goals.

Eligibility

Students must:

  • Receive an invitation to the Winter Forge program

  • Have been admitted to SMU as a first-year student

  • Have a GPA of 1.9 or above

  • Enroll in and commit to completing the subsequent Spring, and the following Fall semester at SMU.
