We believe it's important to offer an easy, affordable way to protect the investment your family has made in higher education. SMU has partnered with  to provide our families with tuition insurance featuring special plans and rates not available to the general public.

Tuition insurance helps students, and their families overcome the financial losses that may result from events which force students to withdraw from the semester due to a covered medical reason.

This tuition insurance coverage* can reimburse up to 100% of your school expenses/payments after an unexpected withdrawal (at any time during the semester) for a covered illness, injury, mental health disorder and more.

Plans also include Student Life Assistance: a 24-hour emergency hotline that offers students and parents even greater peace of mind.

Tuition Insurance covers withdrawals due to:

• Serious injury or illness
• Chronic illness
• Mental health conditions
• Death of a tuition payer
• Loss of employment of a tuition payer

Enrollment Deadline: The day before classes begin each semester.
